PATCH NOTES V0.16.3


Faction missions are here! Check out the new Factions tab in the Missions panel. Click on the faction you want to work on, and you’ll be given the next mission for that faction. Faction missions help anyone working on their collection, but new players should find the targeted rewards particularly useful for building that first competitive deck. This patch also lays the groundwork for the Halloween event that will take place on October 28th-31st.

Features & Bug Fixes

  • Added Factions tab to the Missions panel

    • Select one faction quest line to work on at a time

    • You may switch factions without losing mission progress

    • Selecting a faction changes your main menu background to match

    • Each faction quest line consists of 9 missions

    • Total rewards include 32,400 coin, 36 common wild cards, 36 uncommon wild cards, 12 rare wild cards, 6 mythic wild cards, and 72 selected high-quality singles

  • Halloween 2v2 Event October 28th (10am UTC) - November 1st (10am UTC)

    • All minions are spirits

    • You gain 2 temporary mana for each of your minions that dies

    • Halloween event mission: Kill 113 minions to get an exclusive card back

  • Localization Platform

    • If you want to be a volunteer translator please contact us via Discord

    • Translators will get packs, not cash (we’re preferentially looking for translators who are true fans of the game at this time)

  • Increased the timer for the High Five elite mission line to 22 hours

  • Quick Launch should now take you directly to the relevant Mission tab

  • The Gamayun portrait/intro that was previously only in the story is now available for players to unlock and encounter as a regular AI opponent

  • Fixed a rare issue that caused a zoomed card to get stuck in the middle of the screen.

  • Fixed bug where “Faster Matchmaking” checkbox was sometimes not shown on the 2v2 matchmaking screen

  • Added loss streak bias to the matchmaker to give players slightly easier matches.

  • Clamped matchmaking rating so that players on the extreme ends are able to find matches in the casual queue

  • Added overall completion percentage to player profile collection tab. The overall completion is based on essence value, so higher rarities are more heavily weighted

Known Issues

  • Reconnect bug that prevents further connections until application restart

  • Tournaments are NYI

  • Guilds are NYI

Paths

Journey of Souls

  • Now removes 3 souls at the start of turn even if there are no minions in your boneyard

Rainbow’s End

  • Pursuit: The first enchantment you play costs (1) mana less → Add a Leprechaun’s Coin item to your hand

  • Leprechaun’s Coin: Gain (1) temporary mana

Turn of Seasons

  • Starting Life: +4 → +1

  • Pursuit: +2 → +4 Additional starting life

Cards

Minion Tagging

  • Added the “Token” tag to all minions generated by other effects like Hellions and Insurgents

  • Dropped the “Lunar” and “Solar” tags from Twin Junah and Twin Blanque to make room

Lavish Proxy

  • Your life cannot be reduced... → Prevent any damage or loss of life that would reduce you below 1 while this is in play

Just clarifying that the damage doesn’t secretly get through or anything when the proxy eats it.

Orpheum of Horrors

  • Occupying minion has +1/+0 → Removed

If you made or unmade Orpheum of Horrors with essence in the last 7 days, you may undo such operations at full value

Art/VFX

  • Art updated for Draugr, Barbed Bolts, ...

SFX

  • Added entry VO for Avenging Alpha, Baku Bogeyman, Blackened Jotun, Bold Omega, Bridgeway Troll, Celestial Dragon, Cyclopean Giant, Dust Devil, God of Gamers, Herald of Death, Herald of Conquest, Herald of Famine, Herald of Pestilence, Leshy Greene, Llort, Magmataur, Magnus Thorsson, Magpyre Sniper, Pack Trooper, Volkov Heavy, Volkov Pointman, Volkov Veteran
