Features & Bug Fixes

  • Added level up rewards. Extended player leveling to 100. Pick up your level up rewards in the level panel (player profile page 3)

    • Increased starter bundle availability to 7 days

  • Gameplay

    • Seal of Exile correctly banishes minions with the same name, regardless of whether they have different token art (like Sovereign Architect Imps and Earthslide Elementals) or were generated by other cards (like Godsbane Transport or Melinoë, Soul Shepherd)

    • Seal of Exile now properly updates known cards when banishing a card from a player’s library

    • Enyo, Murder’s Muse and Stormdottir’s Chosen fixed to no longer proc when enchantments die

    • When presenting boneyard cards for targeting via spells such as Bald Mountain, the cards are now correctly presented with the top-most card to the left

    • Fixed Blood Dolls awaken to affect allied vampires in range in 2v2

    • Tailroot Wurm and Boneyard Abomination fixed to interact correctly with Incubation Chamber

    • Fixed the “strength is 0” effect from Temple at Delphi to be unsuppressable (like it is on Amnesia)

    • Raziel, Keeper of Secrets energy loss fixed to count only your opponent’s draws (instead of both enemy players)

    • Fixed Twin Blanque and Twin Junah buffs to work correctly with suppression and across battle lines

    • Fixed Garden of Iriy and To Heaven and Back to function as described even when the occupying minion is suppressed

    • Scion of Pride now properly takes damage from spirits when suppressed

    • Brísing Necklace is now correctly restricted to enchantments

    • Fixed a bug where a Mardykhor dying at the end of the turn while on a desert could lock the game

    • Matryoshka no longer gains a new action when stacked

    • Fixed a bug where suppressed minions could gain additional abilities

    • Fixed incorrect charge display on cards in the boneyard

Known Issues

  • The Social panel is currently under heavy development, with lots of placeholder functionality

  • Bots cannot currently queue up with players via the “Match with AI challengers” check box in 2v2

  • The death decal from center lane minions can sometimes ghost ride the whip toward your boneyard (spooky)

  • Traitorous Murmur appears to have a nerf in the card text that it doesn’t actually have (no card is awarded, this was leftover text from a test version of the card)
  • Some of your decks may be incorrectly invalidated when receiving individual card rewards (if this happens, you may need to make a trivial edit to the deck and re-save it)

Player Life

Average pvp game times are a little longer than ideal, partly because the longer players live, the more turns their paths have to generate small amounts of life. With most of them switching over to a flat starting life bonus, we’ll no doubt need to collect more data and make further adjustments to individual paths.

  • Starting life baseline lowered from 25 to 20

  • Path interactions with life have been adjusted

      • +6 starting life

      • Removed 1 life gain when flipping to day side

    • Fires of Creation:

      • +8 starting life

      • Changed Forge Elemental Demise from gain life to damage opponent

      • Removed 1 life gain when casting an enchantment

  • Einherjar Thane

    • ABILITY: Fully heals whenever another minion dies → Fully heals whenever an enemy minion dies


  • Forge Elemental (added to hand by the Fires of Creation path)

    • DEMISE: You are granted 1 life → Deal 1 damage to your opponent

Quickly learning that the lower a cantrip’s cost goes, the greater our scrutiny needs to be. Goal here is to broaden the range of minions that can be… “encouraged” while highlighting the spell’s utility over raw offensive momentum.

It was surprisingly tricky to talk about powers without tripping over the verbal difference between this and Reanimate.
